BOLARINWA GIFT FATIMATU [FBSS PRESIDENT]

As I bow out of office, I sincerely want to thank the entire AUFBSSSA Students for their support and love all throughout our stay in office, you guys are amazing humans; although we’ve had many issues, but you’ve all welcome me every time and gave me a good stay in office.
Also huge thanks to the faculty Dean, Dear sir, I owe you so much for the success of this administration, your guidance and directives gave us insight into what and how governance should be.
Furthermore, our Faculty Officer and Faculty Advisors, we cannot thank you enough for your support to ensure that the Students affairs is properly taken care of.
Also, your relationship with us has clearly made us better persons and did contributed immensely to how we behaved in office which is widely commended among students. You all made my Administration a wonderful one.

Inspite of the raging issues in my administration as the faculty president, the likes of covid, funding, just to mention but a few we were able to make a world of difference in the sport, education, and social aspect with recorded achievement to the advantage of the entire FBSS STUDENTS, huge thanks to everyone.

I’ll save us of details but be aware of the fruitful implementation of our plans like the maiden edition of the faculty’s valentine day hangout which was held on the 14th of Feb this year, the faculty E-Magazine, the Talent Quest Show at the school car park on the 28th 0f March this year, and our amazing RETRO NIGHT DINNER night which was held on the 15th of April, 2021, huge thanks to you all.

In rounding up our administration, the faculty health walking out, the online skills acquisition and  it is with gladness of heart I announce our victory in the just concluded AUSA Inter-faculty football match, which both our male and female team emerged as winners!

THE BEAUTY OF THE BLACK WOMAN

Benedict Jennifer Igbokwe

She is the pride of her people, the colour of her skin is calming and adorable her elegance brighten’s the whole atmosphere, her love for others is relentless.her smile is enchantingly beautiful, she is too much of a goal getter and that’s a good thing.whatever she lay’s her hands to do multiplies and prospers. She is extremely great, there is no limitations to what she can do.

She is filled with so much love that she could bring together in love sworn enemies.she let’s go of her fantasy of a perfect body type to give birth to a life.she is a giver and builder.

She is so prayerful and powerful ,God adores her,she is a lover and a sister and a mother.when she loves, she goes all the way for it.

The whole world stop’s and stare for a while at the amazing work of God in her life.she is a blessing to whoever she comes in contact with.her voice is like the breath of fresh air,she is so beautiful to the extent that everybody loves her.

But sometimes she fails to understand who she is and what she stands for.A quick reminder whenever she forgets:

B- Black/Bold
L- lucrative
A- Amazing
C- creative
K- kind-hearted
W- winner
O- obedient
M- mondaine/monetizable ability
A- ambitious
N- Naturally endowed

It’s okay when you forget sometimes,no human is perfect, but when you remember dust yourself back up and take the bull by it’s horn, win against all odds.if only she can believe in herself, there is nothing she cannot do. You are a champion.

Quit believing the sterotype that says you are a second class citizen,a weaker vessel, belonging to the kitchen not the limelights, not equal.

Hello this is 21century were women now occupy prominent positions in the society, she takes up energy consuming jobs such as engineering, carpentry etc.

Begin to believe in yourself that there is nothing impossible for you to achieve.

The world is rooting for you,you are unstoppable pay no attention to the nay Sayers, they wish they could be like you.its okay if you feel like crying sometimes, let it all out,I promise you will feel better.

Do not forget who you are and get a mentor,a mentor is not necessarily a celebrity it could be someone even close you,it could be your mother, your friends, your sister etc someone you know that Will always tell you the truth and scold you to the right direction if necessary.

Whenever you feel like giving up on yourself,do not because the world is watching you,you cannot afford to break down now, keep on pushing you almost there.

She is only getting started the best is yet to come.

BROWNIES

By Aje Oreoluwa Ayobami

When we first started planning the menu for The Chocolate Room, we knew that WE needed to serve a brownie. It couldn’t be just any brownie, though—it had to be a brownie so good that we’d never want to try another kind ever again. We love both cakey and chewy types, so we opted to combine the two and landed on what we think is the perfect combination.

Light and cakey but also rich and moist, these brownies are our ideal. There is one trick to making these brownies: their texture depends on the use of Belcolade chocolate. Depending on the brand of chocolate you buy, you may end up with brownies that are lighter or denser than the ones we make in the café. But however they turn out, they will be delicious.

Vegetable oil spray
2 cups cake flour
¾ cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
8 extra-large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
12 ounces dark chocolate (preferably 60% cacao), coarsely chopped
2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter
3¾ cups granulated sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat the bottom and sides of a deep-sided sheet pan or a 12 x

16-inch baking pan with vegetable oil spray, line the bottom with parchment paper, and

spray the top of the parchment.

  1. Sift the cake flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder into a large bowl. In a medium

bowl, combine the eggs, vanilla, and salt and whisk vigorously to combine. Set both bowls

aside.

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in the top of a double boiler, stirring to keep the

chocolate from burning, or microwave them together in 30-second intervals, stirring after

each interval, until they become liquid. Whisk the chocolate and butter briskly until

combined.

  1. Put the sugar into a large bowl, then pour the melted chocolate mixture over it and whisk

to combine. Add half the flour mixture to the bowl and whisk gently; repeat with the

remaining flour mixture. Add the egg mixture to the bowl and careflly fold all the ingredients

together with a rubber spatula, scraping down the sides and bottom of the bowl, just until all the

ingredients are fully combined.

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a small offset spatula or a

rubber spatula. If there are streaks of egg visible on the top of the batter, use the spatula to

smooth them into the batter in a circular motion. Bake the brownies for 40 minutes, until

the batter has risen a bit, the brownies have an even, slightly bubbling crust, and the edges

are starting to dry out and break a bit. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan set on a

wire rack before slicing and serving.

Make Ahead

The brownies will keep in the refrigerator, uncut and wrapped in two layers of plastic wrap,

for ten days, or for up to six weeks in the freezer. The cut brownies can be stored in an

airtight container at room temperature for 2 to 3 days.
