Adeleke University Students Host Surprise Birthday Bash for Beloved Lecturer and Dean, Dr. Onuh

Ede, Osun State, Nigeria – In an unforgettable display of affection and respect, the 400 level students of Adeleke University took it upon themselves to organize a surprise birthday party for Dr. Onuh, a distinguished lecturer and the Dean of their faculty. The heartwarming event took place on Tuesday 12 of March 2024 bringing together students, faculty members, in a celebration filled with joy, gratitude, and camaraderie.
Dr. Onuh, known for his dedication to excellence in education and unwavering support for his students, was visibly moved by the gesture. The event kicked off with a deceptive start, as Dr. Onuh was lured to the venue under the guise of settlement of dispute among student after a tedious faculty meeting. Upon arrival, he was greeted with a chorus of “Happy Birthday” sung by the attendees, a beautifully decoration of his office, and an array of refreshments and birthday cake.
The surprise party was not just an occasion for celebration but also an opportunity for students to express their appreciation for Dr. Onuh’s inspiring mentorship and leadership. The event featured heartfelt speeches, a compilation of messages from students
Speaking on the occasion, Okediran Moromooluwa the chief planner and a representative of the 400 level students for the celebration said, “Dr. Onuh has been more than a lecturer to us; he’s been a mentor, a guide, and a major source of inspiration throughout our academic journey. This surprise party is a small token of our immense gratitude and a reflection of the profound impact he has had on our lives.”
The celebration also served as a testament to the vibrant and supportive academic environment at Adeleke University, where students and faculty members form lasting bonds that extend beyond the classroom.
